The main grape variety in the Pomerol region is Merlot, with some red wines supplemented by Cabernet Franc or Cabernet Sauvignon. Merlot wines are quite fruity and sweet, while Cabernet Sauvignon is relatively tart and develops fruity aromas. Exactly which casks were
